About Veho

Veho’s mission is to power the future of commerce by making shopping, shipping and returns seamless for everyone.
We are building a modern, end-to-end logistics infrastructure designed entirely for the ever-evolving needs of ecommerce brands and everyday consumers.
Powered by next-generation technology and a vertically integrated supply chain, Veho gives brands and their customers unprecedented control over their deliveries and removes the pain from the ecommerce post-purchase experience. We make delivery the ‘extension of the brand’ and leverage it to create deeper loyalty and trust between brands and their customers, driving customer retention and lifetime value. Our rapidly growing client list includes leading consumer brands like Hello Fresh, Zara, Macy’s, Sephora, and more.
To truly build an iconic company, we strongly believe that our people and values must be aligned with our mission. As such, we take pride in our championship team, merit-based culture. We seek team players who want to compete, win, make an impact and build a legacy, and we reward performance and impact players with generous equity and incredible career growth opportunities.
About the Role
Veho is seeking a strategic, analytical, and operationally rigorous Director of Transportation to lead our first- and middle-mile transportation strategy and execution. This leader will own carrier procurement, network planning, performance management, and day-to-day operational oversight across a rapidly scaling, asset-free network.
The Director will oversee a team of Managers and their respective teams, driving excellence across sourcing, planning, contracting, execution, and performance optimization. This role requires deep expertise in third-party carrier ecosystems, strong financial and commercial acumen, and the ability to translate data into executive-level decisions that improve cost, service, and scalability.
This individual will serve as a key cross-functional partner to Product, Network Design, Finance, and Ground Operations to ensure transportation is a competitive advantage that supports Veho’s growth, profitability, and customer experience goals.
An ideal candidate:
  • Strategic transportation leader who understands both network design and day-to-day execution
  • Proven operator who can scale programs from pilot to fully operational under tight timelines
  • Strong commercial negotiator who understands transportation economics and margin levers
  • People-first leader experienced in developing managers and building high-performing teams
  • Data-driven decision maker who influences executive leadership through clear, analytical communication
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure in a high-growth environment
  • Balances financial discipline with service excellence and long-term scalability
What You’ll Do:
  • Own Veho’s first- and middle-mile transportation strategy, driving cost efficiency, service performance, and network flexibility
  • Lead and develop a team of Managers overseeing procurement, planning, and daily operations
  • Drive carrier procurement activities including RFPs, due diligence, contract negotiation, and SLA management
  • Establish and enforce carrier scorecards across CPP, on-time performance, safety, and quality metrics
  • Partner with Network Design to optimize routing, consolidation, scheduling, and injection strategies
  • Collaborate with Finance to forecast and manage transportation spend while improving margin performance
  • Oversee operational performance and implement structured improvement plans when necessary
  • Support new market launches and expansion initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, insurance standards, and risk management protocols
  • Present performance insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership
What You’ll Bring:
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in transportation, logistics, or 3PL leadership
  • Demonstrated experience managing third-party carrier ecosystems (asset-based and brokered)
  • Proven success negotiating complex commercial agreements and competitive rate structures
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing multi-million-dollar transportation spend
  • Experience scaling transportation operations within e-commerce or high-volume networks preferred
  • Hands-on experience with TMS platforms and logistics analytics tools
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service standards, and compliance frameworks
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field (Master’s a plus)
Compensation:
$165,000 – $185,000 annually
The pay range is subject to the discretion of the Company. Additionally, Veho offers a competitive equity package, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as other benefits such as 401(k) and generous PTO for full-time roles.
Veho is a growth company that looks for team members to grow with it. No matter the location, or the role, every Veho teammate shares one galvanizing mission: driving commerce forward with a customer-centric delivery and returns experience that’s built for the modern era. We are deeply value-driven (Team Up, Drive Impact, Take Ownership, Solve Bigger, Obsess Over Experience, Make Today Count) and care tremendously about investing in our high-performers.
