About Veho
Veho’s mission is to power the future of commerce by making shopping, shipping and returns seamless for everyone.
We are building a modern, end-to-end logistics infrastructure designed entirely for the ever-evolving needs of ecommerce brands and everyday consumers.
Powered by next-generation technology and a vertically integrated supply chain, Veho gives brands and their customers unprecedented control over their deliveries and removes the pain from the ecommerce post-purchase experience. We make delivery the ‘extension of the brand’ and leverage it to create deeper loyalty and trust between brands and their customers, driving customer retention and lifetime value. Our rapidly growing client list includes leading consumer brands like Hello Fresh, Zara, Macy’s, Sephora, and more.
To truly build an iconic company, we strongly believe that our people and values must be aligned with our mission. As such, we take pride in our championship team, merit-based culture. We seek team players who want to compete, win, make an impact and build a legacy, and we reward performance and impact players with generous equity and incredible career growth opportunities.
About the Role
As a Logistics Manager at Veho, you'll be instrumental in expanding our Transportation & Logistics capabilities and our overall transportation network footprint. Reporting directly to the Director of Transportation, you will lead critical day-to-day operations, strategically develop our carrier network, and contribute significantly to building a high-performing team. This is a unique chance to make your mark in a rapidly scaling organization.
An ideal candidate:
- 5+ years of experience working hands-on within the logistics and/or transportation industry.
- Experience in carrier sourcing, negotiation, vetting, and onboarding processes.
- Experience managing third-party carriers/brokers and complex logistics networks.
- Understanding of transportation compliance, including DOT regulations, Hours of Service standards and insurance requirements.
- Familiarity with various transportation modes and vehicle types (e.g., Truckload, LTL, Box Truck, Sprinter/Cargo Van).
- Experience in leading, managing, and developing team members.
- Strong data analysis skills, particularly using Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
- Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to assess situations and implement timely resolutions for service issues.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead Daily Operations: Oversee and manage all tactical aspects of the logistics department, ensuring smooth and efficient package flow.
- Develop & Manage Carrier Network: Actively source, vet, and onboard a diverse portfolio of carriers and brokers (across modes like truckload, box truck, vans, sprinters) to build a scalable and flexible network. Manage relationships and performance to uphold delivery standards.
- Implement Carrier Strategy: Develop and manage the carrier pipeline process, including defining contact methods, overseeing a thorough vetting process (NDAs, RFIs, DOT regulations), and establishing approval criteria based on service standards, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
- Optimize Sourcing & Bidding: Build and maintain a comprehensive carrier database to support competitive bidding processes and ensure transportation optionality and competitiveness across all lanes.
- Manage Network Performance: Proactively identify and mitigate risks in challenging lanes and work with carriers to maintain stellar on-time delivery records.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner effectively with Client Operations, Expansion, and Ground Operations teams to integrate logistics processes seamlessly into broader company operations.
- Analyze & Optimize: Track key delivery and carrier metrics, conduct audits, and perform root cause analysis using data manipulation and analysis skills to support continuous improvement.
- Problem Solve: Act as a key logistics stakeholder, adeptly addressing service issues and implementing effective solutions in a dynamic environment.
Compensation:
$95,000-$100,000 annually
The pay range is subject to the discretion of the Company. Additionally, Veho offers a competitive equity package, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage as well as other benefits such as 401k and unlimited PTO for exempt-level roles.
