About the Role
The Ops Manager - Supply Chain Analytics is a critical role focused on ensuring the integrity and capacity of our supply chain within a 0-18 month operational horizon. This position requires a highly analytical and proactive individual to dissect complex operational data, identify emerging constraints, and drive solutions to maintain network fluidity. This person will be responsible for comprehensively monitoring supply chain health, proposing data-driven resolutions to bottlenecks, and ensuring our network can seamlessly meet near-term customer and production demand.
A key aspect of this role involves rigorous, short-term capacity planning and bottleneck analysis. The Ops Manager will monitor and analyze critical data points such as production throughput, inventory levels, supplier lead times, and logistics capacity to develop robust, near-term models. These models will serve as the foundation for identifying and rectifying bottlenecks before they impact performance. Collaborating closely with Commercial, Product, Transportation, and Operations teams, this individual will translate insights into actionable recommendations, ensuring a balanced and efficient flow of materials and finished goods throughout the network. As a subject matter expert on immediate network capacity, you will be instrumental in building a more responsive and robust supply chain prepared for the challenges of the immediate future.
A great candidate:
- Systems Thinker with an Eye for Detail – You see the big picture but also sweat the small details that make experiences seamless.
- Strong Facilitation & Influence – You excel at aligning teams around a shared vision, bringing stakeholders along through compelling storytelling and structured problem-solving.
- Bias for Action – You thrive in fast-moving environments, making smart, strategic decisions that push the work forward.
- Creative Problem Solving - You develop innovative solutions to enhance efficiency, visibility, and responsiveness across the supply chain.
- Support Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Real Estate, Operational Excellence, and Product teams by providing clean, reliable baseline data on current network performance to inform long-range models.
What You’ll Do:
- Solve Complex Logistics Challenges: Analyze complex logistics network challenges, such as warehouse connectivity, transportation data flow, and SLA adherence to identify inefficiencies and develop solutions.
- Capacity Planning and Modeling: Forecast network demands, analyze data related to last mile and middle mile volume, truck injection schedules, warehouse throughput, and develop capacity models for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Real Estate Integration: Serve as the primary liaison, aligning our capacity capabilities with our real estate and operational portfolio. Ensure perfect communication across teams so we can proactively identify opportunities to improve our network.
- Network Scalability: Lead projects related to scaling the network including network design, real-estate planning, and developing new operating models.
- Dashboarding and KPIs: Develop in-depth dashboards and continuously monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across the supply chain.
Who You Are
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in an analytical role such as operations analysis, business analysis, logistics, or management consulting.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
- Skilled in a BI tool like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI for building dashboards and reports.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for ad-hoc analysis and modeling.
- Analytical Mindset: You are a natural problem-solver, skilled at identifying trends, performing root cause analysis, and moving from data to insight to action.
- Strong Communicator: You can clearly and concisely explain operational performance and recommendations to a wide range of audiences.
- Detail-Oriented: You have a keen eye for detail and are committed to data accuracy and integrity.
- Bonus Points: Experience in a high-growth logistics, e-commerce, or technology company.
