We are looking for exceptional students aiming for an exceptional career.

Who we are

AI has made writing and shipping code dramatically faster. The capacity to verify that code hasn’t kept up. More changes reach every release, while QA remains manual, fragmented, and dependent on brittle test scripts.

Minitap is building mini, the QA superemployee.

mini connects to a company’s product specs, tickets, and codebase. It learns how the product works, maps its user journeys, and understands what changes with every release. It can then test each pull request based on what is actually at risk, run full regressions, investigate failures, and return actionable reports to the engineering team.

Unlike traditional test automation, mini doesn’t wait for someone to write and maintain every test case. It works across the software development lifecycle like a great QA teammate would: continuously building context, deciding what matters, and flagging problems nobody explicitly asked it to look for.

We’re a small team in Paris, backed by Moxxie Ventures, Mercuri, and Tekton Ventures after raising $4.1M. As a Software Engineer Intern, you’ll help build the intelligence and infrastructure that turn mini from an agent into a genuinely exceptional teammate.

What you'd own

Production code, shipped under your name, used by paying customers from week one.

  • LLM cost and performance optimization through advanced context engineering. We benchmark frontier models against each other and negotiate directly with the labs. You'd be in the middle of that—as every token you save changes what we can offer customers.
  • Investigate complex failures across models, devices, customer applications, backend services, and CI pipelines.
  • An event-driven microservice you would write end to end, deployed to production and used by real customers from the start.
  • Automated mobile QA flows that make the product more reliable for the teams that count on it.

Our stack: Python, TypeScript, microservices on Kubernetes, RabbitMQ for events, AWS and GCP. Claude Code and OpenCode are part of how we build day to day.

A typical week is around 70% coding, 15% pairing and code review, 15% demos, product specs, and team rituals. You'd sit in product, engineering, and customer calls. We write the technical spec with you, and then it's yours to take to production.

Day to day, you'd work with Pilou (Head of Engineering), and Luc and Nico (founders) are close by.

Must-have requirements

  • You have compelling evidence that you can build. You’ve created and shipped an ambitious technical project beyond mandatory coursework and can explain precisely what you owned.
  • You are an unusually strong problem solver. You break difficult problems into testable hypotheses, reason from first principles, and keep digging until you understand the real cause.
  • You learn exceptionally fast. You can enter a new codebase or technical area, identify what matters, and become productive with limited guidance.
  • You take ownership. You make progress without waiting for perfectly scoped instructions, communicate when you’re blocked, and remain responsible for whether your work succeeds.

Desirable requirements

  • You’ve built an ambitious product, open-source project, developer tool, game, research project, or startup.
  • You have experience with AI agents, LLM systems, computer vision, evaluation, or the reliability of probabilistic systems.
  • You’ve worked with Android, iOS, mobile automation, device infrastructure, or end-to-end testing.
  • You are exceptionally well organized and can manage complex work without losing details or leaving loops open.
  • Other strong builders actively choose to work with you again.

What you get

  • 2,000€ / month gross
  • 50% transport reimbursement
  • Mac + equipment provided
  • Location: Station F, Paris
  • 5 days onsite, with some flexibility
  • CDI offer at the end if there's long-term fit. We hire interns we actually want to keep.

How to apply

Send your CV, your GitHub or portfolio link, and one side project you're genuinely proud of.

  1. Show us what makes you exceptional
  2. 20min conversation with Luc, COO
  3. Take-home or 1h technical deep-dive with Pierre-Louis, Head of Engineering
  4. 45min DNA Deep Dive with Nico, CEO
  5. Mutual conviction and offer

We hire when we find the right person. Luc (co-founder, COO, also EPITA) reviews applications first.

You've already built something impressive? Show us what you made.
