About August Health
At August Health, our mission is to empower the essential work of caring for our elders.
We achieve this by providing a modern operating platform and electronic health record (EHR) that enables senior living operators to deliver high-quality care with confidence.
Caregivers are the heart of senior living communities, embodying care, compassion, and well-being. Yet, they face increasing challenges—higher resident acuity, complex workflows, and staffing shortages. At August Health, we build tools that simplify their tasks, eliminate inefficiencies, and provide the insights they need to focus on what truly matters—caring for residents.
At August, we strive to live our values each day, in every interaction with our customers and with each other.
Be responsible – leave things better than you found them
Take ownership – be decisive and take action
Be ambitious – build something great
Keep an open mindset – communicate candidly and welcome new ideas
Be humble – celebrate each others’ successes and learn from our mistakes
Stay positive – assume best intent
About the Role
We’re looking for a Content & Events Strategist to bring both creativity and structure to two of our most important marketing levers: content and events. In this role, you’ll shape the stories that define our brand and design the experiences that connect us with our market. One day you might be drafting a thought leadership post or editing a customer spotlight; the next, you could be orchestrating every detail of a high-touch dinner or trade show activation. This is a unique opportunity to work for a high-growth B2B company that presents more like a consumer brand. If you’re equal parts storyteller and master organizer, someone who loves to turn ideas into compelling narratives and create experiences that make a lasting impression, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
Write and publish LinkedIn posts, blogs, and customer stories that highlight our voice and perspective.
Develop thought leadership with our execs and subject matter experts, shaping raw ideas into polished articles, decks, and videos.
Develop and manage our events strategy — from trade shows and dinners to our own curated experiences — includes handling communication with conference organizers, planning adjacent events, and helping drive planning and execution.
Turn events into content by capturing insights and transforming them into follow-up pieces, social clips, and sales assets.
Own timelines and details by project managing content calendars and event plans so nothing slips.
Measure impact and track performance of content and events, sharing insights to keep improving.
About You
3+ years of B2B startup marketing experience — proven ability to excel in fast-paced, high-ownership environments
A storyteller who knows the audience comes first — you can create content and experiences that are relevant, appealing, and valuable to our target audiences.
Massively organized and relentless attention to detail — you thrive on juggling multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders without dropping a detail.
Experience strategizing for a high volume of events — as in multiple events every quarter.
A creative thinker who sees content opportunities everywhere and loves crafting unique experiences.
Equally comfortable with strategy and execution: you can brainstorm the big idea and then make it happen.
Resourceful, proactive, and strong sense of urgency.
Experience managing and creating LinkedIn content for a brand.
Experience partnering on content deliverables — collaborating with in-house and contract writers, video editors, strategic partners, etc.
Experience with data-oriented content — not necessarily data analysis but comfortable telling stories with data-driven insights.
